Charakter der Schriften
Jede Schrift besitzt ihren eigenen Charakter, der sich oft kleinen Details zeigt. Wie groß ist die Öffnung beim „e” oder „c”? Wie enden die Linien, schräg oder gerade? Sind die Serifen geometrisch eckig oder eher rundlich?
Die Auswahl der Schriften
Im Spiel werden sowohl klassische als auch experimentelle Schriften eingesetzt. Einige stammen aus der Typografiegeschichte, andere sind zeitgenössische Entwürfe mit innovativem oder unkonventionellem Design. Alle verwendeten Schriften sind als kostenfreie Free Fonts verfügbar.

Renaissance-Antiqua. Garamond ist eine Gruppe von Schriftarten, die seit dem 16. Jahrhundert verwendet werden und auf Claude Garamond zurückgehen.
Sie wirkt Seriös und bietet hohen Lesekomfort, ohne altmodisch zu wirken.

Bodoni Moda

Klassizistische-Antiqua. Die Bodoni-Varianten geht zurück auf den Drucker und Schriftentwerfer Giambattista Bodoni (1740–1814)
zurück und betont den Kontrast von dicken und feinen Linien.
Sie wirkt klar und streng, ist ideal für Titel und Cover, verliert jedoch in kleinen Schriftgraden an Lesbarkeit.

Klassizistische-Antiqua. Die Didot ist eine klassizistische-Antiqua-Schrift. Die ersten Entwürfe stammen von François Didot (1689–1757)
Sie wirkt fein, modisch und hochformal, weshalb sie oft in Magazinen und Modekontexten eingesetzt wird (Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar).
Für lange Fliesstexte ist sie nur bedingt geeignet.

Noto wurde 2014 von Google entwickelt, um sämtliche Unicode-Zeichen in einer Schriftfamilie verfügbar zu machen.
Aktuell ist sie bereits für über 100 Sprachen verfügbar. Die lateinischen, griechischen und kyrillischen Zeichen in Noto Sans basieren auf den Entwürfen von Steve Matteson
Für die ostasiatischen Schriften arbeiteten asiatische Schriftdesign-Unternehmen wie Changzhou SinoType Technology, Iwata Corporation und Sandoll Communication zusammen.
